Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney is an American-Lebanese barrister, human rights campaigner and philanthropist. Her birth name is Amal Ramzi Amuddin. A graduate of Oxford University School of Law and New York University School of Law has achieved international recognition for her work and accomplishments in the international law of human rights. Some of her clients are the people of Armenia that is fighting against the Turkish government over the acknowledgement and apology for the Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney got engaged in 2014, and then was married in 2015 to American actor George Clooney. She instantly became an household name. Years before this though she was already well-known and respected in legal circles for consistently representing her clients with skill and success. Her job is to represent multinational firms in court proceedings and negotiations regarding government regulations, in addition to human rights and social justice. From 2015 onwards, Doughty Street Chambers is located in London and she was barrister.
